Scraps for quilters, embroiderers etcI can now offer some squares and scraps from "rejected" work. I normally work in 14 mm silk crêpe de Chine although there may be other silk types included. Batches of sheer silk (gauze, fine organza etc) will be offered separately, unless you specifically ask for some in your selection. Work is acid-dyed and steam-fixed, unless otherwise stated. No guarantees are offered regarding possibility of fading. All fabric is washable in cool water. Items are either design rejects, experiments, have faded slightly or have faults in steaming, which means design work can appear fuzzy or blotched. It is essential that they be cut up before sale so that they can never be worn as scarves - please don't ask me for uncut rejects! Details of prices / weights / postage etc in opposite column at the bottom of the page.
I sometimes sell experimental fabric lengths that have been made as preparation for other work: see below
ScrapsBelow is a selection of scraps sent out recently. Depending on the original width of the scarf, squares may be about 7" square or larger. Below is a selection that all together weighed 200g. I have just sent out some scraps cut into longer, wider lengths as the buyer contacted me before I chopped them up.
Further Adventures of My Silk Scraps..Below are some images of work done by purchasers of my scraps. Thanks to the makers for permission to use images. Please send me more pictures if you have used my scraps.

Buying scarves and scraps onlineI have had problems offering scarves to buy online because I usually have a heavy demand for my work. I send out a lot of work to galleries and also reserve work for major shows, so items are completed and often go straight to a gallery or an exhibition. So as soon as I think of putting some work in these pages, out it goes somewhere else! I do have enquiries from buyers all over the world and subject to their requirements I then e mail a selection of images of what is available in the studio. To make online images of everything I have in the studio is impractical and would take up more time than I can devote to it. I suggest that potential purchasers contact me and I can send images of what I have available. Payments can be made by e mail / Paypal; note that to do this you do not need to have a Paypal account yourself. I normally have a variety of the scarf designs in stock in the studio and can send images. I also work to commission if you have particular colours in mind. Below are some images of designs that have proved popular.
